How I Plan to Scale Domnest: My Marketing Strategy

Post image

I launched domnest.app exactly 2 months ago and shared the story of how I launched and got my first user within two days. Since then I haven't had time to look back at it because of school, until yesterday when I received another payment notification from LemonSqueezy (someone bought the lifetime plan).

This is enough validation for me. Now that I know there is demand for a domain manager like Domnest and people are actually willing to pay for such a tool, here is how I plan to scale it..

My Marketing Strategy

Here is my exact marketing plan for Domnest keeping the 80/20 principle in mind, which means I am going to first concentrate my efforts on the 20 percent marketing tasks that are going to produce maximum results.

Cold DMs on Twitter

I will cold DM potential users on Twitter. This is what I think is the best strategy in terms of collecting feedback and getting customers. Simply find people on X who manage lots of domains (domainers, freelancers, startup founders, agency owners) and DM them with a friendly and helpful message asking for feedback and offering the tool as a solution.

After sending 100 DMs I will analyze the results and figure out the category of people that responded and showed the most interest. After which I am going to niche down and send another 100 emails to that category. This way I will test out the cold outreach marketing method for Domnest.

I will make a post about the results I got from this strategy and how many people actually bought the subscription.

What's Next

I have several other ideas which I am going to test out after this. The next on my list is SEO with free tools.

Will keep posting about it 🚀
